Accessibility at conferences and events – technical solutions, consulting, implementation

Accessibility symbol

We help you to make events, meetings, conferences, conventions barrier-free. We offer technical solutions to enable and simplify access for people with disabilities and limitations:

Audio description

Content is described and commented live for people with a visual impairment. We offer transmission techniques and workstations for the interpreters for this purpose: Participants receive audio receivers with headphones that they can use to listen during the event. We can also integrate the audio description into video conferences.

Written interpreting / text interpreting

We provide subtitles for video conferences or on-site on displays or via projectors. Written interpreters create the subtitles live during the spoken content at events. We can also provide subtitles for participants' mobile devices.

Audio descriptor icon

The common symbol in Germany and Europe for "audiodescription. It is also common for hearing films and for films with audio description.

Audio descriptor icon

Pictogram for "audio description" used by the United States National Park Service. You will find it increasingly in e-learning offerings.

Sign language interpretation

We offer camera technology and transmission technology to record sign language interpreters live and superimpose them on displays, projections or in video conferences/online events. We can do this using picture-in-picture technology (i.e. inserting a small image at the bottom) or using separate displays.

Induction technology for hearing aid connection

We offer induction technology that allows audio signals to be transmitted directly to participants' hearing aids. This works via so-called induction loops or induction loops. We can offer this for entire rooms, individual areas or as mobile solutions.

Interpreting Light Language

We transmit an audio channel with easy language to audio receivers. The event or conference is simultaneously translated into easy language by professional interpreters. This works both on-site and for online events or video conferences.

In addition to technical systems, there are a large number of areas where attention must be paid to accessibility: Stair-free access and elevators, width of doors and hallways, signage in easily recognizable colors and fonts, markings in Braille, signage in easy language and much more. We will be happy to advise you here. You are also welcome to take these points into account when selecting the event location and explicitly ask about the accessibility of the location before booking.

By the way, language barriers can be easily overcome with our simultaneous interpretation solutions for on-site events, online events or video conferences.
